The History:

So how did we get these fields and what do they mean for us? They are on Sacred Heart Health Care System's property located on the opposite side of Winn Dixie from our Baseball Fields. Through the incredible generosity of Sacred Heart Health System, a private developer and many donating businesses and non-profit groups, Perdido Bay Soccer now has over 5 acres designated as "soccer fields" to play on. These fields are on Sacred Heart's property and temporarily leased to PBYSA for soccer and soccer only. Fantastic, huh? We cannot thank Sacred Heart enough for being so generous and so committed to our community here on the West Side.

For those families who have been with us over the last 5 years, it is no surprise at how critical these new fields are to our ability to continue to run a soccer program in our community. For those new families, in a nutshell, we have exploded in our size. Five years ago, we had little more than 200 players. This year, we have 900 players from 4 - 18 years of age! Amazing!

This means that every league will have their own field. U-12 and U-14 will play their Saturday games simultaneously and finish much earlier. Also, we don't have baseball infields to play on either!

Who's allowed us to move forward with purchasing SOD and equipment? The local community around us!
